Hi friends, Lisa here.
Today would have been lan's 80th birthday.
lan was one of the most giving people I know, always wanting the best for others. Always thinking about others and how he could help them.
As you may know, the Macleay Valley Home Hospice was instrumental at the end, in allowing lan to spend quality time with me and the Team at home. MVHH provides vital equipment that allows people in palliative care to stay at home. This service run by volunteers, enabled lan and I, and countless others, to share precious moments together. To talk, to share a cuppa, to just BE together. A priceless gift.
Over the past three years since losing Ian, together we have raised an astonishing $49,007.33 for MVHH. That figure is absolutely AMAZING and I cannot thank you enough!
Today on Ian’s birthday, I would like to ask a small favour. I would love it if the TGO family could help me get the figure over the $50,000 mark. I will be donating the first $500. So that leaves less than $500 to reach this goal. With this in mind I'm hoping and praying that at least 100 TGO family members will forgo a coffee today and donate that money to the annual TGO Cup of Love project.
Please know that every dollar donated will be given to the Macleay Valley Home Hospice. You will be helping so many families now and in the future. You will be helping them spend time TOGETHER. Your cup of coffee will be filling up a palliative care patient and their family's cup of love.
