Hiya! My name is Melanie. I am raising funds for my daughter, Mackenzie, and I to join the mission team with our church in March. This will be Mackenzie’s very first mission trip. She has been eagerly waiting for this experience since childhood, as she’s watched me evolve spiritually on each mission I have taken over the years. My hope for Mackenzie is that she will grow spiritually and be moved by the different culture. Becoming the hands & feet of Jesus is a privilege that I would like MJ to experience herself.

A word from Mackenzie:

I’m so excited to have been offered an opportunity in mission this spring! Ever since I was little, I’ve felt I’ve been called to travel, and as I’ve grown older, I’ve found I would like to do that with and through the Lord. With moving to Jacksonville, I’ve felt very separated from the world and left without something to lean on. Therefore, I’ve been focused on putting work into my faith and not settling for the bare minimum. From only going to church Sunday mornings, I’ve started volunteering in greeting and youth, playing keys, guitar & drums for the worship team, and leading Bible studies. I have become not just a receiver of the love of Jesus and his salvation, but a mirror. I’ve gotten to help plant the seed and show people what my God has done for me and what he can do for them. I hope to raise the money I need for the Mexico mission trip myself, so I can expand my horizons and deepen my faith by bringing people closer to him.
