I am setting up this page for my niece, Macie as she has recently been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. She would really benefit from a Dexcom. A Dexcom is a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM). A CGM will test Macies Blood Glucose levels every 5 minutes, which will allow us to read trends, plan ahead and manage her diabetes better, together. Even a slight increase in better management could mean more years of a healthy life for our little girl without complications from diabetes. Along with better management, there will be a built in hypo alarm (low blood sugar) and less finger pokes on her her little 3 year old fingers! Our ultimate goal is to provide Macie with more freedom and a better quality of life to ultimately let her be the fun-loving girl she was born to be without being weighed down completely by the responsibility that comes with having Type 1 Diabetes.
