On June 29, 2023 Mike went to his eternal home to be with the Lord after six months of battling glioblastoma and a partial hip replacement after a fall.

Taryn and Mike met each other in 2008 and knew they were meant to be. They married in 2009 and have two beautiful young boys Blake who is 12 and Ben who is 7 yrs old.

Mike wasn’t acting himself during Christmas week in 2022. Taryn took him to the ER and a cat scan showed a brain tumor and severe fluid/swelling in the brain. He had a biopsy and after being in the hospital 8 days was sent home to wait for the biopsy results. At home, he fell and broke his hip, resulting in another hospital stay and a partial hip replacement. Then he went to rehab to recover from his hip and finally got the official diagnosis that he had an aggressive incurable brain cancer called glioblastoma. Mike was transferred to yet another hospital for treatment. When he was finally able to come home, Taryn cared for him until he passed away on June 29th.

Mike strived to live as a faithful servant of the Lord, his actions a reflection of his deep and abiding commitment to his God. His relationship with God was as solid as a rock, unshaken by the trials and tribulations of life.
