Special Note:
Dear Group,
No more donations requested on this site at this time. We were successful in bringing Mac Davis to Los Angeles to attend Homeboys training this Summer in Late July 2025. Thanks to all of you for your donations. We attained our goal of brining Mac to LA and any left over money will go to him to start up his Turnaround Home in Nigeria.
So no more donations requested on this site at this time. We may see about a follow-on phase but not under bringing Mac to Los Angels as was the purpose of this site.
Many thanks to the Mastery Circle International and the North Hollywood Church off Religious Science for their generous contributions.
Mission Accomplished!
Purpose:
To fund a trip for Mac Davis Ngwa to come from Nigeria Africa to Los Angeles Ca. in August 2025 to attend the Global Homeboy Network Gathering to learn how to set up a Homeboy-type operation called a Turnaround Home. This home will be used to give young adults a chance to turn their lives around from a life of crime, drugs, and prostitution.
A Statement from Linda Nusbaum an instructor at Homeboys LA who knows Mac Davis:
“Mac Davis is a blessing to this world. He lives in Nigeria and his mission is to help young and old ones who have chosen the wrong way to live. His work is to provide prostitutes a way of supporting themselves without having to sell their bodies. He also helps those who steal to learn a trade so they don’t have to break the law. Mac also hosts a radio show that promotes goodwill, love and compassion for others. He is also committed to helping orphans grow up well. Many of us who admire and want Mac to continue, are helping him come to America to attend a week-long seminar at Homeboy International in downtown Los Angeles. Mac is interested in starting a Homeboys-type home in Nigeria. Please help us get Mac to the U.S. to make our’s and his dreams come true.”

About Homeboys:
Homeboy Industries provides hope, training, and support to formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated people, allowing them to redirect their lives and become contributing members of our community. Each year over 10,000 former gang members from across Los Angeles come through Homeboy Industries!" doors in an effort to make a positive change. They are welcomed into a community of mutual kinship, love, and a wide variety of services ranging from tattoo removal to anger management and parenting classes. Homeboys help others from different states and countries set up a similar operation by educating them and lessons learned. This happens during a networking event each year at LA Homeboys.
Timing:
The training at Homeboys takes place end of July to early August 2025. Adding days for travel and speaking will bring the total to about 10 to 12 days.
Cost:
The plan is to raise $5,000 to support Mac for this trip. Round-trip airfare is from $2,400 to $3,000. The cost to attend the seminar is $400. The remainder will be used for food, lodging and transportation. Mac will stay with some local friends which will help with lodging costs. Any excess funds raised will be used as seed money for the Turnaround Home in Nigeria Africa and for Mac’s charity foundation work.

These lovely kids in the picture with Mac are orphans of Onitsha North Orphanage, Nigeria. The MACDAVIS CHARITY FOUNDATION spent time with them and supported them during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The orphans were given clothes, books, soft drinks, foodstuffs etc. It was so heart-warming to see the smiles on their faces.
Below is a short video on Mac's vision for creating a Turnaround Home.
