Sponsor - A - Soldier through Operation Care Package
The Cheyenne Elks Lodge 660 is preparing care packages for the 322 members of the Wyoming Army National Guard, currently deployed overseas defending our freedoms. It costs about $40 to fill and ship a 12"x12"x6" box with various snacks, personal hygiene items, and other assorted items. This is an opportunity to say thank you to a group of men and women who have left their homes and families to represent not only Wyoming, but the United States while protecting the things we hold dear to us. A $40 donation will Sponsor-A-Soldier to receive a care package with items that may not be readily available to him or her, and provide a little piece of home while they are far away from the comforts we all enjoy.
October 26th is National Deployment Day, a day to honor our deployed troops and their families for the bravery and sacrifice they are making for our country. What a wonderful gift it would be to put these packages together and ship them around that time.
