Hello,
My name is Osama Al-Madhoun, and I come from Gaza. My family and I have been living through unimaginable suffering since the war began. In October 2023, our beloved home in Al-Zahra neighborhood was destroyed, and we were forced to flee in the middle of the night under heavy bombing. Since then, we have been displaced over and over again, moving from one place to another with no real safety, often without even the basics for survival.
I lost a dear family member during the bombing of Deir al-Balah a wound that will never heal. After that tragedy, we moved to Rafah, only to be forced out once again when the invasion reached the city. Each time we leave, we are forced to abandon everything our tent, our belongings, even our sense of stability.
Currently, we are displaced once more in Al-Nuseirat. Life here is extremely hard. Yet, despite all the pain and loss, I refused to give up on my dream. I continued my studies online against all odds, and by the grace of God, I was able to graduate from the Islamic University of Gaza with a degree in Computer Engineering.
But even this achievement came with hardship. I lost my phone and tablet the only tools I had for studying and working. Without them, I lost my job and my chance to support my family. It is devastating to finally graduate but be unable to work because I don’t have the simplest devices to continue.
My family and I are left with almost nothing. We live in difficult conditions, struggling each day for food, medicine, and shelter. Still, I believe that with your kindness, we can start to rebuild.
Your support will not only provide us with the basic necessities to survive, but it will also give me the chance to return to my field and work as an engineer, so I can build a better future for my family.
Even the smallest donation carries great meaning for us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving us hope when we need it most.
