Hi my name is Yasmin and I’m fundraising on behalf of my beautiful friend Melissa and her two daughters.

We met through the love we share for Golden Retrievers.

Mel and her girls have recently lost their beloved Sasha - it was sudden and unexpected. She has left a huge hole in their lives and hearts. Sasha was the heart and soul of this little family.

Nearly nine years ago Sasha came into their lives. She helped Mel raise her daughters as a single parent and heal from a difficult and painful past life. She continued this tradition by becoming the loving support that helped her daughters with their own struggles in their teenage years.

As Mel stated “Sasha has left an indelible mark on our lives and she completed our family puzzle the moment she came home with us at 8 weeks old. She was more than a pet, she was my best friend, my shadow and sidekick, and a confidant to us all.

She loved us unconditionally as we did her, and Sasha gave an immeasurable amount of joy, love, affection and laughter to our family. She was all heart and soul, knew what we were thinking before we did, and brought out the best in each of us!

Sasha was our protector, but also easygoing with the most beautiful nature and temperament, and didn't mind what adventures we went on, as long as we were together I’ll never take for granted that she came and sat in my lap while her 9 brothers and sisters played around us. Sasha knew how much we needed her long before we did. “ ♥️

My hopes are to bring another Golden back into their lives to lift their spirits and brighten their days. There’s no replacing Sasha but this new pup will make the hole a little smaller and bring the happiness and joy back into their home . I have been in contact with an amazing breeder who has pups due early December and found out the mother is a relative of their Sasha. Part of her will live on in this new puppy.

The price of caring for a dog will never be an issue but the initial cost of a new Golden pup from a breeder can be a large upfront cost and this is what the go fund me is going towards.
