Remembering Tony

On May 24th, we are honouring the life of a true gentleman and the person I had the pleasure of calling a good friend, who will be sadly missed. But just like Tony, who always chose to look at the positives, we will look at the time we had with Tony and remember him through the game he loved - football.

Tony's local team, Blyth Town Football Club, is hosting the first annual Tony Stewart Cup event alongside a family fun day. Blyth Town FC Over 40s will play against a team made of Tony's friends, family, and work colleagues. Both teams will be competing to get their hands on the cup in its first year.

On the day, money will be raised through players donating a fee to play and contributions from the fun day. All money raised will be used to send Sharon and Olivia on a well-deserved holiday. The remaining money will be donated to the family's chosen charity - The British Heart Foundation.

We understand that everybody won't be able to make the day itself therefore we have set this page up, enabling you to contribute and we would like you to leave a comment of your memories of Tony. These comments will be printed so Sharon and Olivia can read and keep them as a lasting memory.
