My name is Natalia Werner and I’ve started this fundraiser to help organise shelter and accommodation for refugees from Ukraine in Bydgoszcz, Poland. My family's friend Hania, who works for a local school, as well as a team of volunteers are turning empty school classes and other available rooms provided by the local community into comfortable living space for families, mainly mothers and children, fleeing the war.  These funds are used to buy anything missing, including cots, duvets, kettles, toiletries, food and other necessities, as well toys and school supplies for children who will be joining their Polish peers in schools and nurseries. The school is the Primary School Number 16 in Bydgoszcz. Their facebook  page has photos of rooms that they already furnished, thanks to generous donations from citizens of Bydgoszcz and funds they have raised so far. Some rooms are already occupied by guests from Ukraine, but additional space will be needed as more families are arriving every day. Thank you for your support!
