Hi everyone,
We never imagined we would be in a position where we needed to ask for help like this, but we are holding on to hope and the kindness of others.
My partner and I have been together for 15 years, and throughout that time we have always dreamed of starting a family together. Sadly, our journey has not been an easy one.
After fertility testing, we were given heartbreaking news. I have been diagnosed with a very low ovarian reserve (2.8), meaning my egg count is extremely low. My partner has also been told he has low sperm count, which makes conceiving naturally extremely unlikely.
After speaking with specialists, we have been told that IVF is our best and possibly only chance of having a baby of our own.
Unfortunately, we do not qualify for funded treatment through the National Health Service (NHS) due to the criteria in our area. This means our only option is to pursue private IVF treatment.
In the UK, IVF typically costs between £3,000 and £8,000 per cycle, and sometimes more depending on the medication and additional treatment required. As many people know, it often takes more than one round, which makes the financial side incredibly difficult for us to manage alone.
This has been an emotional and heartbreaking journey, but we are not ready to give up on our dream of becoming parents. We would give anything for the chance to hold our baby and finally have the family we have hoped for over so many years.
We have created this page to ask for help raising funds towards private IVF treatment, which would give us the opportunity to try to make our dream a reality.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to us and bring us one step closer to the chance of becoming parents. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing our story would help more than you know.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can give.
With love, hope, and gratitude.
