A dear friend of mine who needs to remain anonymous for her own safety and the safety of her children is in need of community support. This friend is always doing for others, showing up for her community, and creating a safe and loving home for her children as a single mother. She has been in a lengthy family court battle to get needed support but her attorneys cannot take the next needed step until a substantial amount of the balance has been paid down, and the fees are currently just over $13,000 with more to come. Below is more of her own story in her own words:

For years, I’ve raised my child in the shadow of someone who appears successful and kind to the outside world but has been absent, manipulative, and cruel behind closed doors. Most people would never guess the truth — the emotional harm, the instability, and the constant effort it’s taken to protect my child from it all.

I’ve worked tirelessly to build a life grounded in love, safety, and stability. After paying support for less than a year, he’s now filed a retaliatory motion to reduce it — using his financial resources and lawyers to avoid accountability. I’ve been doing everything I can to keep up with the legal fees, but the balance has grown beyond what I can manage alone. My attorney cannot move forward with the next steps until a substantial portion of that balance is paid. He can afford to manipulate the system; I can’t afford to stop fighting for my child.

I’m asking for help because this fight has become too heavy to carry alone. Every dollar raised will go directly toward attorney fees. Your support makes it possible to keep going. I’m deeply grateful for your consideration, contribution, and/or care.
