C has been my son since I picked him up from the NICU at 2 weeks old in October 2021.

On January 25, 2024, he was suddenly removed from my home for no clear reasoning other than personal details DHS had obtained that they have no right to know. My home has never been unsafe and if you know me personally you know that C is my baby and my everything.

I am absolutely devastated and beside myself in grief and anger.

I believe I have been discriminated against due to my age since I began fostering in 2021. I have faced judgement, backlash, and doubt from almost everyone I have interacted with through DHS. This is illegal and I won’t sit by and let it happen to me.

The money raised here will be used to secure an attorney to help me fight to get him back. This fight will not come without loss. Systemic change needs to happen. The amount of foster parents who have reached out to me telling me they have been in the same situation is astounding. We cannot stand for this treatment any longer
