Lynne's Liver Transplant Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Kendra and I am starting this fund to raise money for my mom, Lynne. For years, my mom has been dealing with NASH (Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis) which is the most severe form of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). It has progressed to the point now that mom will need a liver transplant. Thankfully, we are working with the amazing UW Transplant Center to get mom on the list and get her the liver she desperately needs. For those of you that know my mom, she has always been lively and happy. She has been the person that treated all of my friends like her own kids and every one of them called her "Mom." She was truly put on this earth to be a nurturer and take care of others. But now, she is the one that needs taken care of. I have never seen my mom so fragile and it's one of the hardest things we have ever had to deal with. Dad and I are doing everything we can to take care of her on a daily basis and many of you have also helped take her to appointments (Yvonne ❤), made meals that she actually manages to keep down and truly enjoy, or even just spreading the word about moms need for a transplant (Becky ❤). We appreciate everything that everyone has done for us. We could not get through this without any of you. But once again, we need help. Because of this disease, my mom has had to leave her job of 12 years as a school bus driver. It was a tough choice, but a necessary one. Many of the side effects of NASH have made it impossible for her to do her job safely. And because of that we are starting to struggle financially. We hate to ask for money, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Once mom loses her insurance from work, the medical bills alone are going to be difficult to pay let alone our monthly bills.
