Hi, my name is Sonia and I live at 3 Hambrook Road. Last week my lovely neighbour at number 9 Hambrook was one of the victims of the fire that was started by two youths, and her garden has been completely destroyed. Lynne spent a lot of time in her garden with her dog Bella, and was an avid gardener, having numerous beautiful plants, sheds, benches and other beautiful items. Lynne was recently widowed and her garden was her solace and her favourite place to spend her time, and she put a lot of work into it.

Lynne has got insurance for some of the items in her garden, but this will take time and there is a £200 excess charge. Meanwhile she’s had to pay for her bins to be replaced, and her dog is currently living elsewhere as there is no garden for her to go. We’re not too sure how long the insurance will take, but at least if we could get the garden cleaned and a new fence then Bella can come home.

Lynne is devastated. She is an amazing individual and such a caring and friendly lady.

This funding will be to help her in the short-term to get her garden to a standard where she can have her dog home. I have put a target of £5000 merely as a ballpark, it is not essential for this target to be met but all monies will go to Lynne to support her through this period. I have gotten Lynne’s permission for this fundraiser as I’m aware there have been other controversial fund raisers for Gosport residents in the recent past.
