Lusmagh Development Association is a community-led group of volunteers who are

passionate about our beautiful village of Lusmagh, Co. Offaly.

Lusmagh, nestled in the corner of West Offaly, is rich in history and culture, and our aim is to

enhance and maintain our rich and vibrant community spirit, by creating and upgrading

amenities and facilities within our village to share with everyone, young and old.

We are currently in the process of developing a community park which will contain a

productive garden with polytunnels and raised beds, a sensory space and a wildflower

meadow. All of this will be surrounded by a lighted walkway which will provide our

community with an enclosed, safe space to walk. To date, we have built a polytunnel which is

used by our local primary school, educating children on where food comes from and allowing

them to get their hands dirty and grow their own fruit and vegetables. We have also

constructed some raised beds ready for planting in Spring.

We have an ideally situated community space in the heart of Lusmagh we are keen to develop

and have a number of ambitious projects which we would love to share with everyone. For

this we need your help. While we are fully engaged with Offaly County Council, and other

local Social Enterprise initiatives, we will require fundraising to bring these projects to life.
