Downtown Luray Park - LHS 06, 07, 08, 09 Donation
Donation protected
If you have been to Luray lately, you’ve seen the new Creekside Commons pocket park being built on North Broad Street between Mechanic Street and Main Street. Luray Downtown Initiative was awarded a grant and joined forces with the Town of Luray to build the new park. LDI is now seeking donations of amenities, such as benches, bike racks, and trash cans.
We are challenging the Luray High School Classes of 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 to join together in a friendly competition to raise $1,000 to purchase and donate a picnic table to go in the new picnic area!
I’ll update frequently with where we stand and how much each class has donated. When you donate, put "Class of ____" in the comment so we can keep track of which class donates the most! (And watch for the “GoFundMe “tip”” when you check out… we don’t get any of that)
Penny Wars are back baby!

Here’s more information about the project from LDI:
Creekside Commons
The Luray Downtown Initiative in partnership with The Town of Luray have begun to build a brand-new pocket park in downtown! Creekside Commons is located on Broad Street, just before our 4-way entrance into Downtown Luray. The park will provide much needed additional parking, handicap accessible picnic tables, benches and more! We will also have a new photo opportunity for locals and tourists to commemorate their time in our beautiful town! We are thrilled to be able to create a new space for everyone to enjoy and that will support businesses downtown too. We need your help!
If you would like to be a part of this exciting project, items can be donated. Prices include the item, shipping, and installation. A nameplate with the inscription provided will be mounted at each item to help share with our community who helped make this park come to life.
Donation Form Information

If we happen to raise in excess of our goal, we will donate the extra money to the West Luray Recreation Center!
