Hi! My name is Luna. I'm a senior in high school who lives in the U.S., but I spend 1-2 months every summer in Bogota, Colombia, visiting my family.

During these trips, I see the different lifestyles people in Colombia lead compared to my daily life. There are people here with kids living on the streets, without reliable access to food or clean water. We don't realize how fortunate we are until we see others with less than we have. I recently visited an orphanage there with young girls who would highly value new clothes, school supplies, and any sort of support. This is what inspired me to raise money so that my family and I can create donation boxes and bring them to young girls at an orphanage in Planadas, a small town near Bogotá. This gift will brighten the lives of these kids and put a smile on their faces.
