This fundraiser supports two causes. First, it will provide free meals to health care workers in Durham and Chapel Hill area facilities. These are the heroes in the fight against COVID19, who are risking their lives to help those infected. They are working long hours in a stressful environment, and we want to give back to them in one small way. Second, it will provide living-wage jobs to restaurant workers who are currently out of work due to shelter in place policies and practices. Luna Rotisserie and Empanadas, a small, family-owned restaurant, with locations in Durham and Carrboro, will provide meals to those working on the front lines of the fight against coronavirus. All proceeds of this fundraiser will help cover the expense of providing meals, and for every meal donated, Luna will match it. Donate funds for one meal, Luna will provide two meals.
