My name is Gabi Brewer and I am Bailey Lumberry’s sister. Please consider helping their family! Denver has not been working and Bailey is working 60+ hrs to try and support them and their little boy who is 2.

Denver is currently at OSF St.Francis in Peoria. He has had memory issues and since April and has not been able to work since June due to this. His memory, balance, cognitive abilities, and comprehension has progressively gotten worse since then. He’s been evaluated by his doctors during this time and it has been chalked up to anxiety. He is unable to stay home and take care of Rhett or himself at this time. He was taken to the Hospital August 8th and has no discharge plans at this time. Tuesday, Denver was admitted to a short stay floor for altered mental status with plans of a EEG, MRI, and a spinal tap to follow. The EEG was on shortly after being admitted and was seizures. He was having multiple seizures lasting up to 3 minutes long, at one point he had 9 seizures in 30 minutes. Since then, he has been put on multiple different seizure medications to try and stop them. Although, they have not stopped they have decreased to only 3-4 a day. He has to be 24 hours seizure free before the EEG can come off. The MRI results show seizure related edema, abnormal signals in his frontal lobes and temporal lobes. He has had a spinal tap, we are slowly getting those results back.

What we do know

1. He is having seizures

2. Caused by something viral or autoimmune

What we don’t know

1. When the seizures will stop

2. When he will be discharged

3. How long he’s been having the seizures

4. If any of this has caused permanent damage

5. If he’s going to be able to return to work
