Luke Nehring’s Eagle Scout Project

Hello! My name is Luke Nehring, and I'm a Life Scout at Troop 2 Wilmette. I have been involved in Scouting since my time as a Cub Scout in kindergarten, and I’m excited to finally complete my Eagle project.

For my project, I am working with the Lutheran Church of the Ascension to build new benches at their front doors and beautify their front entrance by replacing two rock pits with mulch. I want to give members of the church a place to sit if they are waiting for someone to pick them up, and to give the church a more vibrant and welcoming feel. I am a member of the church, and I am glad I am able to help give back to such a supportive organization.

I am starting this GoFundMe to fund the purchase of the materials needed to complete the project. The funds I receive will be used to purchase wood, screws, and finisher for the benches, mulch and dirt for the beautification, and food and water for volunteers on the day the project occurs. Any leftover funds will be sent as a check back to Lutheran Church of the Ascension.
