Luka and the Fam ❤️

Hey there, wee Luka Bryson was rushed to Brisbane Children’s Hospital when he started having seizures in the back of the car after Tobes picked him up from daycare on Wednesday 10th July 2024. It has been determined that he a rare condition called mural Vein of Galen (we have nicknamed Gavin/ ol Gav). This is when a vein and nerve have connected in the brain where they shouldn’t have. It is life threatening left untreated and requires an operation and likely more to follow. The operation has a sickly list of risks no parent should hear.

We can offer our thoughts and prayers but let’s be honest that’s not going to mask the reality of the current cost of living and the impacts they feel already from unexpected costs and not being able to work.

They are not in their home town of the Gold Coast or home country of Aotearoa. Which makes this all that much harder. I’ve seen these two battling through and they shouldn’t have to worry about money right now. So they can focus on cuddles and managing sleepless nights and the million tests and pieces of information.
