A few words from me Ivelisse To all my family and friends, on March 3, 2022, our son Luis Del Valle was admitted to the Advent Health Hospital, the next day they give us the news of his diagnosis "Acute Myeloid Leukemia a very strong news for the whole family, we cry a lot but with our broken hearts we have to move forward with faith and strength, to be strong and give encouragement to Luis and his twin brother both diagnosed with Autism. He begins with a very high fever,we took Luis to emergency. Luis has been in the hospital for almost a month giving him blood transfusions, chemo,1 biopsy of the bone marrow and fighting with infections since he has his immune system low and waiting for his slow recovery. Luis started with his chemo treatment on 03/07/22, he is still in the hospital under observation and with treatments after his 5 days of Chemo. Waiting for answers day by day. With a lot of Faith. All this is something new and very scary for the whole family. Especially for us parents Alfredo, Ivelisse and sisters Nicole, Fransheska and his twin brother Alfredo L. Luis is a very talented young man, cheerful, loving, attentive, intelligent, sympathetic etc. above all he is a comedian is the funniest on this planet who lets himself be loved by others. He is in his last school year at Boones High School. We will be letting you know the progress of Luis according to his doctors. The road to recovery will be a long one for Luis. We never think to ask for help, but this is a long road. Many people have started to ask how to help…expenses will add up as Luis begins his treatment.
