Today marked 13 months exact since my husband’s cardiac arrest. 13 months exact that I have been a single mom to 3 children; now 9, 7, and 2 years old. The struggles are real. In the beginning of this year, We have moved back to my parents to get the helps and trying to figure my out our lives. I was not able to work as much because I was caring for my husband and children. Incidents after incidents between my husband and children, I became selfless. I went through withdrawal of quality of my own life due to caring for my family. I became selfish toward my children because my husband took 80% of my time. Now, I have prioritized that my children are more important, I’ve been working full time and decided to put my husband in a nursing home.
As of now, he is in inpatient rehab due to his brain aneurysm surgery in June 19th, a month ago. Me and my children are in the process of moving out of my parents and and trying to have a normal functioning life. It is very hard to be “normal functioning” without their dad, but we are trying.
July 16th, 3 days ago, while driving my kids to the babysitters my children and I got rear-ended on the highway. My car got towed while I was in the ambulance taking my children to the hospital. Thank God they are fine. I am only a human, one foot over the other, and day by day. I am trying to get back on my feet and struggling financially and tragedies seem to attracted to me for some reason. I create this GoFundMe Page for my children and myself, so we get back on our feet.
School is starting soon and I am falling behind on bills and debts.
Right now, I am a full time worker, mom, wife and caregiver.
I don’t know how I can survive this, I need help from friends and the community. I feel ashamed for asking, but I have nowhere to turn to.
I’m not setting an amount because a little is a lot to me. I thank you all, that have prayed and have helped us in the pass and also thank in advance for the future helping hands and prayers. May God bless everyone.
