Helping a Local Family Grieve the Loss of Their Beautiful Boy Rhyce Smith

Our hearts are heavy as we come together to support an amazing loved Temora family in our community who are facing every parent’s worst nightmare. My dear friend Lucy and her family have tragically lost their precious son/brother far too soon, and their world has been absolutely shattered in an instant.

Lucy and Brendans son Rhyce has tragically passed and words cannot describe the pain this family is going through right now.

During a time like this, no words can ease their pain—but we as a community can surround them with love, strength, and practical support as they navigate the unimaginable.

We are asking our amazing community to rally together for one of our own.

All funds raised will go directly to the family to help at this tragic most difficult time as they find their way through this heartbreaking time. We cannot take away there unimaginable pain, but we can lesson the burden of everything else at this horrendous time for them.

No one ever expects to plan a funeral for their child—especially at such a young age. It’s something no parent should ever have to face. Along with the deep emotional heartbreak comes a wave of unexpected expenses: funeral and memorial costs, time away from work, counselling, travel to be close to family, and simply trying to cope day by day while their world has been turned upside down. In moments like this, being able to focus on grieving—without the added burden of financial pressure—can make a world of difference.
