We are a parent-founded 501c3 nonprofit organization that exists to make the diagnosis experience better for new moms that have a baby with Down syndrome. The Lucky Mama Project was inspired by my experience with a prenatal diagnosis and my beautiful daughter Ivy. Commonly when a baby with Trisomy 21 is born, the parents will hear "I'm sorry" when they should be hearing "Congratulations". A pregnancy or birth of a baby with DS can be a very uncertain time that comes with many emotions. We are here to help new and expecting mothers during this time. Prenatal and Celebration Bags are sent out to these Lucky Mamas. They contain helpful resources and beautiful gifts for mom and baby. The feedback we have received from new moms shows that we are having a positive impact in our community and that these materials are so important and needed.

Our cost for each Celebration Bag is $70. Our goal for Giving Tuesday is to raise enough money to pay for 75 Celebration Bags for new lucky mamas. Please consider a donation to support our cause and make a difference for a new mom and her baby.
