Hi, my name is Brooklynn Allen and my almost 3-year old daughter, Luci, was born with a Chromosome 6 Deletion, Epilepsy, Hydrocephalus, Dysphasia, and Cortical Blindness, which led to her being severely developmentally delayed. Due to her complex medical needs, she has been in and out of the hospital her whole life. :( She sees nearly every specialty doctor, as well as PT, OT, Speech and Feeding therapy. Because of her extensive medical needs/daily appointments and treatments, I have been unable to work. Were a 4 person household (as well as Jon’s 13-year old he provides for in New York), living on one income. Two months ago Luci had brain surgery and we’ve been in and out of the hospital ever since. She’s currently in the hospital (for another week or so), treating a staff infection from her shunt. During this time Jon had to take a lot of time off work to watch our 9-month old and we’ve been living off credit cards and trying to catch up financially ever since. We have a hard time asking for help, but with that being said, any money donated will go to bills and food for our family to get through this tough time.
