Lucas Servedio's Eagle Scout Project

Lucas Servedio's Eagle Project is to build a footbridge on a trail at W.P. Jones Park in Duluth, GA. The bridge will increase access to the path and is going to be 4 ft wide and 16 ft long. It is going to have a handrail and it will have a ramp on each end of the bridge. It is going to be sturdy enough for people to walk on.

 

The project will also address a drainage problem at the same park. It will stop the flooding and erosion along part of the trail during significant rain. Lucas plans to put a big pipe in the ground so the water will go to the other side of the path into a drainage ditch. It will have a small bridge on top of it to level out the path. This small bridge will have a handrail too.
