My mother is currently undergoing treatment for the second time in the past 5 years for breast cancer. The first time, she was fortunate enough to avoid chemotherapy treatments. This time, that has not been the case. I have decided to shave my head for the month of October 2023 (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) in honor of her and all of those who have gone through, or are going through treatment.
