On behalf of the Mawhinney Family, Lucas’ friends are organising a GoFundMe to help towards the cost of his funeral. The loss and devastation the Mawhinney family have faced the last few months alone, and now multiplied in ways we couldn’t even imagine.

The impact he had on everyone that knew him was second to none. He sang to his own tune the whole way through life and no matter the struggles he faced, he was a shoulder to cry on for anyone that needed him.

Lucas you lit up every room you walked in to. You have broken many hearts leaving so soon. We will treasure the memories made with you, and continue to keep your spirit alive not just in Comber, but everywhere we go.

Life will never be the same without you and your cheeky laugh. You really were one in a million
