Loving support for Chris and his family

Please join us in showing our unwavering support for Chris McWhorter and his family as they navigate his journey with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Chris was recently diagnosed with ALS. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS causes loss of control of the muscles needed to move, speak, eat and breathe. The disease gets worse over time. There is no cure. Chris, a courageous, hard-working, husband to Lori, devoted Dad to Carter and Abbe, and friend to so many of us, has displayed unending strength leading up to his diagnosis. His selflessness has always been, and continues to be, admirable, and he would be the first to support anyone in a time of need. We hope that you might now join us in following the example he has set as we support Chris and his family. With this diagnosis will come expenses that we cannot imagine, so Chris’s co-workers, his “work family”, wanted a way to come together to help to lighten the financial burden – even in the slightest bit – by creating a discretionary fund for use where Chris’s family will need it most, whether it is to help with comfort measures for Chris, meals, or a simple break for Lori or the kids. Your generosity would be extremely appreciated as the McWhorter family does their best to adjust to their new normal. Thank you so much for your support.
