Starting our Family

Donation protected
Family and Friends,

After 14 years of struggling with infertility we lost all hope of being parents ourselves. We became content with being an Aunt and Uncle to the most amazing nieces and nephews we could ask for. When we spend time with each one of them our hearts light up with joy. Being showered with hugs and kisses, seeing their smiles and hearing them laugh brightens our day more than one can imagine, but as soon as we go back to an empty house our hearts feel empty inside once again. The feeling of hopelessness and inadequacy can become waring on ones spirit.

We were told early on in our relationship that we would'nt be able to have children biologically due to medical conditions that were discovered a few years prior to us getting married. Because of this we never even considered looking into infertility treatments, we felt there was no reason to if we had a zero chance of getting pregnant. We decided to look into Adoption instead. When adoption wasn't an option for us financially, we decided to look into the Foster Care program with the intention to adopt. Unfortunately, neither of us felt like this was the route we were to take, at least for now. We felt extremely hopeless at this point and basically had given up on the idea of having a family of our own. We settled on being the best Aunt and Uncle we could be, and nothing more. Although Chad and I had given up on the idea of being parents, our families haven't. My sister Michelle finally talked us into seeing a Reproductive specialist.

Because we both still have a strong desire to be parents, we decided to schedule an appointment to meet with a Reproductive specialist. After doing much research online we decided to schedule and meet with a Doctor at the University of Utah Reproductive Center. We had an appointment with the specialist on May 13th. Let's just say we have a new found hope in becoming parents. After some extensive testing the Doctor feels like we have a good chance of being able to get pregnant with infertility treatments and procedures. I don't think we've been able to wipe the smile off our faces since we've gotten the news. We finally have a chance of becoming parents. Something we've wanted more than anything else in this world.

Chad and I are asking for your help in making this become a reality. Because of medical bills from my auto accident four years ago and other surgeries we've had to have we don't have the money reserved to get the process started. We aren't getting any younger, and feel strongly that we need to get moving with this procedure as soon as we can. Unfortunately, our insurance will not cover the infertility treatments.  For this procedure we are looking at a cost of about $5,000. If you're able to help us towards this, we would be eternally grateful to you and your generosity. I know this is not a conventional way of going about this, but neither has this whole process. We would like to thank you all in advance for all of your love and support in helping us making our dream into a reality.

If you or someone you know would like to help but aren't comfortable donating online please send me a private message on Facebook, call or text me and we can make other arrangements for you to donate.

Thank you and God Bless,

Chad and Angie Rogers
