The Lovers (T4T) Burning in 2025

Hi, I’m Kendrick! I’m an SF-based trans artist working with Little Arcana Art Collective and StarBarf. We are raising funds to bring The Lovers (T4T), a large scale wooden sculpture celebrating trans love, to Burning Man 2025. After being rained out in 2023, The Lovers are ready to burn. We’re looking to raise $7k to cover transport, storage, fuel, and materials.

We brought The Lovers (T4T) to playa in 2023 as an honoraria piece, but the burn was called off due to rain. We laughed, we cried, we packed it up, and it’s been in storage ever since.

When I began building this piece in 2022, it was a different moment for trans people. Since then, the landscape has only grown more hostile and more in need of big, beautiful, T4T art.
