If you’ve ever attended BCSWomen Lovelace, you’ll know that it is about so much more than a colloquium.

It’s the conversations over coffee.

The unexpected connections.

The women who say, “I’ve felt exactly the same.”

The encouragement to put yourself forward, try something new, share your research, apply for that opportunity — or simply believe that you belong.

Now we want to help more women experience that.

We are raising funds to support the next generation of women in computing to attend the BCSWomen Lovelace Colloquium. Every penny goes towards student travel, and student accommodation.

For some students and early-career women, the cost of travelling to and attending a conference can be a real barrier. Yet these are often the very people who would benefit most from being in the room — meeting role models, building networks, discovering opportunities and finding their community.
