We are a team of volunteer medical and mental health professionals, led by Dr. Muni Tahzib. Since the devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010, we’ve organized and led over 15 volunteer medical-humanitarian missions across the globe. Through Love4-missions, we’ve witnessed firsthand how communities can come together to support those in crisis.
Now, we are preparing to lead Love4Jamaica—a mission to help those suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa. We travel over Thanksgiving week with several women physicians to start off the first of several medical-humanitarian relief missions.
Hurricane Melissa has devastated Jamaica, leaving hundreds of thousands of people homeless and facing severe shortages of food and clean water. Power outages are widespread and are expected to last for months. In the wake of these challenges, infections are on the rise, with many cases of leptospirosis confirmed due to contaminated water. The need for immediate medical and humanitarian assistance is urgent.
With your support, we will purchase water purification supplies, much-needed medicines and medical supplies, and essential humanitarian supplies to bring relief to those most affected. Not many are able to go down to Jamaica to help, but every dollar can make a difference in the lives of those suffering in the aftermath. Your generosity will help us bring hope and healing to a community in desperate need. Thank you for standing with us and supporting Love4Jamaica.
