Love & Light for Jacquie - Supporting Her Final Chapter
Donation protected
I’m writing this on behalf of my incredible sister in law jacquie. A devoted wife to Jamie and the most loving, selfless mummy to their beautiful little girl Robyn. Together they are the happiest of families, embracing the simple joys of life. Bedtime cuddles, Sunday dog walks and a home filled with laughter and love.
But in an instant, their world was turned upside down!
After months of persistent GP and hospital visits, with symptoms that were progressing. Jacquie was told that her symptoms were due to stress, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or food intolerances. Despite her on going pain and concern over the last 18 months she was finally offered an urgent CT scan.
There are no words that can truly capture the shock, pain and heartbreak that came with Jacquie’s scan results.
At just 38 years old Jacquie was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and by the time it was discovered the cancer had already spread and the doctors have heartbreakingly given Jacquie up to 12 months to live. This time scale is with two horrific rounds of chemotherapy, without this gruelling treatment Jacquies time would be significantly reduced.
There are no words for what this kind of news does to a family.
Other than chemotherapy, there is no special treatments or surgeries that can give Jacquie more time. Her last months with her family will be the memories we all need and will cherish forever.
My goal for this go fund me is to raise as much money as possible. This money would allow my family to make precious memories with days out and experiences on the days when Jacquie feels well enough to do so. This money would also help to reduce the financial pressure and stress from paying the mortgage, bills and everyday costs. All of which are a financial burden when dealing with the fact our entire world has been tipped upside down.
I realise this is a big ask but every contribution no matter how big or small would mean the world to me and my family.
Never in a million years did I think something like this would happen to my family & nothing will ever prepare you for the emotional and physical toll this would have on us all.
Every donation, share or message of support is the strength we need during this incredibly difficult time.
From the bottom of my heart thank you x
