On Sunday 9/12 we got the tragic news that Jim Vivace had passed away. Jim was the produce dept lead at Kroger 985 in Avon and long time Kroger associate that so many of you know. The news was very shocking and hard to process for everyone. Jim was always a smiling face that we all knew we’d see everyday but Saturday. Even then we’d most likely see him in here shopping with his family. I’d always tease him and say he just couldn’t stay away.

If you didn’t know Jim then you were missing out! He had the best sense of humor and was always cracking jokes. I can’t think of an interaction with Jim that he didn’t make me laugh. Most importantly I remember how much he always talked about Marie his wife and his two daughters. They were his world.

Marie is also a long time Kroger associate at Kroger 947 in Danville and his brother Brad works at Kroger 905 in Indianapolis. I know everyone on the westside knows the Vivace family and that is why I ask that we come together as a Kroger family and help Marie and their daughters I’m this very difficult time.
