Love for the Longs: Medical & Childcare Expenses
Donation protected
Hello Family, Friends, and Those with a Heart for Giving,
I come to you with a heavy heart for the Long family.
On Friday, May 23rd, just before 2:30 p.m., Angie Long (mom) went to check on their 10-week-old daughter, Delaney, who was napping in their room. She found her unresponsive and not breathing, though her body was still warm. Angie’s mom and a nearby neighbor heard her cries for help and rushed over. Her mom called 911 while their neighbor, a firefighter, began CPR. Delaney was taken by ambulance to Enloe Hospital in Chico, California, placed on a ventilator, and finally, a pulse was restored—her little body regained color. She was then airlifted to Sutter Health in Sacramento, California.
Tragically, just four days later, on May 27th, 2025, at 7:48 p.m., Delaney was welcomed into the arms of Jesus.
This family has endured so much, yet they continue to faithfully glorify the Lord. I’m praying—and asking you all—to be His hands and feet during this time.
We all know how quickly medical expenses pile up (w/ unknown costs related to the helicopter flight), and the Long family is also facing unexpected childcare costs. With so much weighing on their hearts, I ask that you prayerfully consider supporting them in practical ways—through love, prayers, and financial help if you’re able. Thank you for already lifting them up in prayer and for continuing to surround them with love.
I’ll keep you updated as I receive new information.
