Love for Laken as she mourns Baby Jayden

My niece Laken woke up this morning to find that her 13-day old son had passed away in his crib on January 2nd, 2025. We are assuming from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) but won't know until the autopsy confirms it.

I started dating Laken's, Uncle Mitch when Laken was 4 years old; I immediately fell in love with her and held her extra close to me beings she lost her mom when she was a baby. For over a decade I was her aunt, and I remain her aunt, although Mitchell and I are no longer. I love her dearly.

Jayden Kai'mari Shawn Olsen, I just held you on Tuesday and then today hear that you're gone. "There is no footprint too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world". You are one beautiful, angel baby.

Laken works at Wendy's and like many works' paycheck to paycheck. I just want to be able to give her a little support during this very difficult time.
