On September 9th, the world unexpectedly lost a dear and talented person Jason McCain. He left behind his wife Bena and three children Lola, Ruby, and Julien along with many family and friends. Last year the family moved to Asheville, NC, and unfortunately they are too far away to hug during such a devastating time.
Here in South Louisiana we show our love through food and we would like to continue that type of support for the McCain family in the coming months. We hope to raise enough money to get premade, healthy meals for the children for the next six months. The meals will be from YumbleKids, and we are hoping to provide 3 meals per child a week at a total cost of $60/week for the next six months. We hope this will make Bena's days just a bit more manageable. If you have had the pleasure of knowing sweet Bena, you know what a loving and kind person she is, and how much any help would mean to her.
*Anything donated over the initial amount ($1,600) will go towards a college fund for the McCain children.
