As we all struggle to come to terms with the heartbreaking reality that Unisa is no longer with us, no one feels this loss more deeply than his wife and children. They were his world. He loved them fiercely, and everything he did was for them.
Many of us showed our love and support for Unisa while he was here. Now, I believe the most meaningful way to honor him is to continue supporting Shamecca and the children. Unisa was the provider for his family and was also very private. He didn’t share some of the struggles their family was facing, even with Shamecca.
She is now faced with medical bills, no life insurance, no savings, and financial obligations she wasn’t even aware of. Life is hard for all of us, and we all carry our own challenges. But if you are able to give something in Unisa’s memory to help support his family, please consider doing so.
This is one small but powerful way we can honor Unisa and the light, love, and generosity he brought to all of us.
