It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Douglas Clinton “Doug” Acker, a much-loved father, family member, and friend. His passing has been a devastating loss for those who knew and loved him, and his family is now navigating an incredibly difficult period of grief.

Chrystina, Doug’s daughter, is a beloved member of our community and someone who has given so much to those around her. She is a former captain of the Perth Inferno and has been a respected leader, teammate, and friend to many. Her commitment, generosity, and strength have left a lasting impact both on and off the ice, and she has always shown up for others when it mattered most.

Following her father’s passing, Chrystina has needed to remain at home in Canada to support her family during this time. She is expected to stay until at least April. Unfortunately, the emotional weight of this loss has been compounded by significant financial strain. Due to extended time away from work, unexpected travel costs, and the need to support her family, Chrystina has had to give up her apartment and now faces substantial moving and living expenses.
