Lourdes Invalid Fund

The Portarlington Lourdes Invalid fund needs your support. Our committee has long relied on the generosity of our town, families, and friends to support our fundraising efforts.

In previous years the Lourdes fund would have been able to bring up to 10 Invalids on a fully paid trip (approximately €1000).

Since the COVID-19 pandemic we have seen significant changes in the way people donate, which fewer carrying cash and more transactions happening digitally. This shift has directly impacted our traditional fundraising methods which rely heavily on cash donations. As a result, we have seen a significant drop in contributions, putting our ability to bring members of our community on a fully funded trip to Lourdes each year under serious strain.

At a time when many in our community are facing health challenges, we need your support more than ever to continue providing this much needed opportunity. Please consider us when making your donations.
