Help us Support Susan Morris and her family by kindly donating how ever large or small to help them though such a difficult time and to give our mother the best that she deserves.
As many people now know our mother Susan Morris had recently returned from a surprise holiday abroad for her to celebrate her 70th where less than 48 hours of returning our mother suddenly collapsed at her home early hours Monday morning. After CT scan it had shown that mum had an intracranial bleed on the brain, which was devastating for us all, as we all know this can be life threatening and was told that the next 24 hours are critical where mum was taken to resus red at Morriston hospital. We was then told that mum would need an MRI as this bleed was not caused by an injury, fall or an impact to the head, however the worst news was yet to come as we was told that mum had a stage 4 aggressive Brain Tumour and there was nothing that could be done to treat the cancer other than palliative care and to keep mam as comfortable as possible lost for words, the heart ache again of the dreaded word Cancer, and knowing what to expect as most people from our lovely village of Mountain Ash/ Penrhiw-ceiber know we lost our Dad to pancreatic Cancer when he was only 55 years old. My Dad was always a community person who had helped raise many funds for so many charities over the years, street parties, football matches etc and was highly thought of through our village.
As a family we are finding it very difficult to comprehend what is happening again, mum was fit like Dad, young at heart, although this time it has been such a shock that this has just come out of the blue with no warning or symptoms at all to think that anything was wrong with our beautiful mother Susan, I just wanted to share this with our community where mam as grown up all her life and well known in our home town of Mountain Ash, and to give thanks to all that kindly donates to help give mam the utter best care and attention she deserves and needs.
