It has now been 17 years since our Louie left this world and joined the safeguards of heaven. Anyone who crossed paths with Lou knew the light and laughter he brought to each day. There was never a dull moment with him; always cracking jokes and making sure everyone had a smile on their face. Lou cared so deeply for his family and friends, and he dedicated so much of himself to his athletics and academics. Lou was involved with many athletic teams throughout high school, and attended West Virginia University for one semester before his tragic accident.

Lou is survived by his parents, three sisters, and now two nephews and niece. We strive everyday to keep our Louie's memory alive, remembering the warmth he brought us. One way we do that is by offering a scholarship each year to a student that is beginning to make their mark on the world, continuing their academic journey from high school. We select a student that emphasizes the best qualities of Lou; a student that is driven both athletically and academically, caring to their community, and holds ambitious goals for themselves. With this scholarship, we hope to kick start the beginning of what will be the best and most important four years of their life; four years that Lou never got the chance to experience.
