My name is Jamie, and in 2023 my family experienced the devastating impact of suicide when my younger brother took his own life after years of struggling with his mental health.

There are no words that can truly describe the heartbreak, shock and sadness that suicide leaves behind. It changes your family forever. Even now, the pain is still with us every single day. Like so many families who have experienced this loss, we are left wondering whether the right support at the right time could have made a difference.

We can't change what happened to my brother, but we hope we can help someone else.

That is why my wife, Louanne, has decided to take on one of the biggest challenges of her life by completing a charity skydive on 1st August in support of All Ears MHA.

All Ears MHA was founded following the tragic loss of a young woman to suicide, with one simple but powerful mission: to ensure that no one has to face their mental health struggles alone. They provide affordable counselling, art therapy, wellbeing sessions, support for children, young people and adults, as well as mental health education in schools and training for parents, carers and professionals. Their work gives people a safe place to be heard and access to support when they need it most.

Having experienced the devastating impact of suicide ourselves, we know just how important it is that support is available before someone reaches crisis point. If our fundraising helps even one person access the help they need, or prevents another family from experiencing the heartbreak that ours has endured, then every second of Louanne's skydive will have been worthwhile.

I have personally covered the full cost of the parachute jump, which means 100% of every donation made through this page will go directly to All Ears MHA to help them continue their incredible work supporting those affected by mental health challenges.
