I’ve had long hair for as long as I can remember — and for the past year, I’ve been growing it out with this exact purpose in mind.
Cutting it off is a big deal for me, but recently it became even more personal. A very close family friend is currently going through cancer treatment and has lost their hair. Watching someone I care about go through that made it hit home just how much hair loss can impact someone’s confidence and identity.
So I’m donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real-hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their hair through cancer or other medical conditions like alopecia.
Alongside the hair donation, I’m raising money to help support the cost of making and fitting these wigs. Every donation helps them reach another young person who just wants to feel like themselves again.
If you can spare anything, I’d be so grateful — thank you for being part of this
