2.6.23. Update from Lorraine: I would love to be able to give you all a positive update but things are not going as I would have expected them to.

We are still relying on the goodwill of friends for accommodation as the insurance company are dragging their feet. We were told that they could not sign off on anything until the forensic report was in. I was told that this would be mid week this week, but I’ve still not heard anything back from them despite emailing and leaving messages.

In addition to this, the council are still expecting me to pay council tax on an uninhabited property and have said that now the property is not being lived in it no longer applies for the 25% discount!

Looks like I have a fight on my hands to get this resolved with them now as well.

Please help our lovely dancer friend Lorraine and her daughter Erin who came home from a dance lesson last night to find their entire home devastated by a house fire. They have lost everything!! And they have nowhere to stay.

If you can spare any little amount to help these two buy even the most basic essentials for now, it would be greatly appreciated.
