My mom, Lori Mele, was injured in a very serious fall on May 16, 2025, in which she fractured her skull and was unconscious for an unknown amount of time. Luckily, she did not have any brain bleed or clotting; however, she is on bedrest for an indeterminant amount of time because of this traumatic brain injury and concussion. She was released from the hospital and is now convalescing at home.

Lori is a self-employed Massage therapist with no workers comp or disability provision from her workplace – so any thing you can give would mean the world to us.

Her equilibrium and balance is still quite unsteady when she is on her feet and will not be able to return to work until her neurosurgery evaluation in mid June; at that point, another CT scan will be taken to make sure she is on the road to recovery.

Anyone who knows her knows that she is very independent, capable and generous. So, it’s very difficult for someone who is so giving to accept gifts of generosity back. But we need your help.

My mom has an indomitable and vibrant spirit and nothing can hold her back from recovering. Any help we can get for her in recovering and with supporting her absence from work would be so immensely appreciated, from me and the rest of our family.
