Lopez Bakery & Restaurant in Milwaukee South Side

Hi everyone,

The community is fundraising for Cindy and Jorge Lopez owners of Lopez Bakery and Restaurant, a beloved institution in Milwaukee's south side who announced they would be closing due to a series of unforeseen circumstances including the death of a loved one and broken equipment.

Lopez Bakery and Restaurant were one of the first Hispanic businesses to establish itself in the city and provided services throughout the Hispanic community for the last 50 years.

As a staple in the community, we've started a GoFund Me page for the Lopez family. The goal is to raise $15,000 to purchase a new oven for Lopez Bakery and Restaurant to replace their stove that went out during the recent flooding on Mitchell Street in hopes of getting their business back up and running!
